Daniel opened up a new boxing “academy” in the “more fashionable” west end of London. Many Englishmen realized the value of learning the art of boxing but were extremely hesitant to learn from the sport from a Jew. One Englishmen said to another “I feel a little uneasy taking a boxing lesson from a Jew.” The people of London, especially upper class, felt uneasy about a Jewish man being in any position of power. In my essay, I am going to analyse how William Shakespeare developed conflicts to show emotion in Much Ado about Nothing. The conflict of Claudio embarrassing Hero and stopping the wedding in front of all the towns’ people, was created by Claudio viewing what he interpreted to be Hero and Barachio kissing and sharing an intimate moment in Hero’s chambers. However, as we (the audience) know, it wasn’t really Hero in the window, it was Hero’s cousin Margaret.…

Antonio comes to find a group of varying friends throughout Rudolfo Anaya’s Bless Me, Ultima. Antonio’s friends are near his age, though communally rash, are remotely diverse. While watching a group of children, Antonio learns about the individuals, mentioning that he “knew Ernie like[s] to brag” and Bones is “crazier than Horse” (35). Horse himself is believed to be a fighter, that he would “rear up and paw and stomp” at Antonio after he is flipped onto his back, instead letting out a “wild, shocking cry,” proving his simulation of strength tends to be a facade (38). Red, though not seen a lot is introduced when Antonio first enters school and cannot find where he needs to go.…

Much Ado about Nothing, I believe one of the best comedies because of the combination of full-bodied humor and the dealings with more serious matters like honor, shame, and love. The comedy starts with the title utilizing a play on words, the comedic elements are strong with saucy interactions between characters and the ever so memorable “Dogberryism” to have a hearty belly laugh. However, it has its moments that become very real and very honest. It has the ability to make an audience or reader feel agitated because of a strong sense of anger, hatred and despair in the main characters. Furthermore, it is the thin line between comedy and tragedy that really attracts the attention of the audience and it gets them involved in the narrative as…
