A friend is a gift you give to yourself. It’s a relation of love and affection towards other people. Your friend is someone who you feel comfortable and can easily share your thoughts and feelings. In Of Mice And Men George and Lennie are friends who supported each other. Steinbeck shows the theme of friendship through the unique relationship of George and Lennie, candy and his dog, and George and slim.

George is always helping Lennie because when Lennie’s aunt died she asked George to take care of him. George helps Lennie get away every time like when he grabbed on to the girls dress they got fired and they had to move. Lennie is always getting in trouble and then they have to move each time.
