My Best Friend, Cheyanne

Improved Essays
Have you ever wanted a friend to be there for you for a long time? I have one of those types of friends. My best friend, Cheyanne, has been my number one supporter since day one when we met in second grade. Cheyanne has been through all my ups and downs with me. It started out when I was having issues with my dad 7 years ago, to her parents taking me in as one of their own children, to her being there for me for 12-13 years of our lives. This is just the beginning of our journey.

When I was having problems with my dad 7 years ago, Cheyanne was there for me physically, emotionally, and mentally. The problems started when my dad got married to my stepmom. Cheyanne understood everything I would explain to her about my father and my new stepmother, whether it was personal or not.

She does things for me that no one else would do for their best friend. Her and I did have a falling out a few years ago but having time apart from each other made both of us realize how much we needed each other in our lives. Now we spend more time together than we ever have in our friendship. We may not agree on all things but majority of the time we do no matter what it is. We fight like we are sisters but end up laughing it all off. Cheyanne has always been there for me when I am feeling down in the dumps. We met in second grade at Prairie Elementary School in Haysville, Kansas. She was just like me in elementary school, the shy, dorky one. Neither of us had very many friends. I think that is what made the both of us become friends. Our friendship got stronger over the years of knowing each other and continuing to get to know each other. Soon we were the best of friends and it has stuck like that for many, many years and it will never change. Cheyanne will be my maid of honor at my wedding sometime in the future and I expect to be hers as well. She will always be my best friend, and nobody can take that place from

Moving here from North Carolina when I was four changed my life completely, I was away from my family who I lived with my whole life, thrown into a school with a bunch of kids who lived here since they were born and told to “make friends.” This changed the next 13 years of my life to something I can never picture not having. The first four years, both my parents had full time jobs and my grandma helped raise me a lot, she taught me so many manners and how to behave, she even ended up living across the street from me for 2 of those years, they were rough for my parents, new baby, just moving, having to find jobs, making friends, and getting food on the table for me. Thats where my amazing family came in, with bringing home cooked meals…

A friend is a person who is willing to be there for you when you are going through a serious situation. When your car breaks down and you are stuck in the middle of the highway and your friend is willing to drive all the way to pick you up and call AAA for you, that’s true friendship. I didn’t even know that I had an allergic reaction; my arms had hives and some peeling.…
