Friedrich Froebel: The History Of Early Childhood Education

To better understand the history of Early Childhood Education I choice one historical figure which happens to be Friedrich Froebel. Friedrich Froebel was born April 21, 1782- June 21, 1852 in Oberweissbach Thuringia Ernestine Saxonywhich is now Germany. He was the youngest of five children. His mother passed away when he was just nine months of age. Froebel felt neglected by his father, once he remarried, until his uncle took him in and sent him to school. In school Froebel acquired knowledge of plants and natural phenomena while at the same time he began to study mathematics and languages. Froebel attended courses at the Jena University until he ended up in jail for unpaid debts. However, Froebel did try to get employment after the debt
