If you watch the show you see that many of the important characters come from different living styles. Coach Taylor’s career depends on his ability to get the Dillon Panthers to the state championship. But if team continues to lose he knows that his family will no longer aloud in Dillon. The good thing about this journey is that you get to see Eric Taylor play a dad role to most of the players on the football team. Jason Street must learn how to live life without the use of his legs. Jason Street was the star quarterback on the team until he took a hit which made him paralyzed. Matt Saracen, the new quarterback has a difficult task, as he also must take care of ill grandmother while his dad is fighting in Iraq. Coach Taylor plays a father figure to Brian “Smash” Williams the most because his dad was killed in a car accident. Many of the kids look up to Coach Taylor because of how he brings the game of football to a new level. Corrine Williams must take multiple jobs in order for their family to get by. Finally we have Tim Riggins, who is an unfocused alcoholic with absentee parents and no prospects beyond high school. Riggins is shown to be a loyal friend with a great heart. The final score was 27-26. All the hard work had paid off for Coach Taylor and the Panthers, as they overcame adversity to win the title. With Jason Street getting hurt, to Matt Saracen struggling at QB many viewers did not believe this would happen. That is why the makers of Friday Night Lights did a great job keeping the viewers on the edge of their seat. Eric Taylor did a great job sticking with Matt and knowing that he will lead them to the big game. Adversity is hard to overcome when your star quarterback gets paralyzed. Many players got upset before the game when they found out that Eric Taylor was going to TAMU. Staying humble and never giving up was the most important thing the Dillon panthers had to
