I agree that a variation of successful art possess the traits listed above, however I also believe that in order for art to be revolutionary, impact the world and the way people think, it must hold an idea, and the artist must have passion for that idea.
I admire quite a lot of Frida Kahlo’s paintings, because she had this ethereal way of painting her emotions right onto the canvas. Kahlo’s piece “What the Water Gave Me”, is heartbreaking, utterly complex- hard to explain but easy to feel. The poem “Elaine” by Edna St. Vincent Millay is one of my favorite poems, because of its upbeat rhythm, and the sweetness of the content; I do not believe this poem was/is revolutionary, but it is beautiful and means a great deal to me.
The mind is the part of humans that is controlled by reason, knowledge, and logic. The soul is the ethereal part of humans, that I believe affects the way a person fits into the universe depending on how they treat other people. Both the mind and soul are a part of what makes decisions, and positively or negatively impacts the universe. To illustrate- a person makes the decision to not abuse their child because it is against the law; this choice was made by the mind. A person will never abuse their child because they believe that there is a ‘light’ in every human, and choosing to abuse another brings darkness to both that person and the child; this choice relates to the
