Why are people so comfortable with standing on the inside? As if someone were to be different it would be bad. It’s the struggle of being different that makes us who we are. That is why we have nonconformists. The ones who are iridescent compared to a crowd of normality. A major nonconformist was Frida Kahlo. She was a bold women, artist, and inspiration to many. Kahlo stood up for everything she believed in even during times of sickness. One of her most famous quotes is, “I don’t paint my dreams or nightmares, I paint my own reality.” Unlike Frida Kahlo, Boxer from the novel Animal Farm, contradicts her nonconformity. The loyal horse was unable to recognize the corruption that was right in front of him. For example, “I would not have believed such things could happen on our farm. It must be due to some fault in ourselves.” After his leader Napoleon was having animals slaughtered, he remained dedicated.
