Abortion has been a very controversial issue for a very long time, and people have very different opinions about this issue, and the artist has expressed their opinion on this issue from the use of music, and art. For example, a song by Tim Mcgraw and Bright Eyes shows how abortion affects everyone involved after it happens. A piece of artwork by Frida Kahlo shows the perspective of women after having an abortion. She basically puts her life into artwork. One of her art pieces is called Henry Ford Hospital This piece of artwork is about her having her abortion and how it made her feel after it was done. She has herself in the center of the picture with six pictures around her. All of the pictures represent some sort of abortion-related tool or describing a picture to the process. The baby is a representation of the child she will never have, the purple flower is a representation of a gift her husband have her after it, the machines represent the cold instruments used, and the snail is used to describe the slow process of the abortion. The whole painting shows regret and remorse. She is sad that she is not able to have her child and her life will not be the same after this. The song Lime Tree by Bright Eyes is definitely a song about regret after the abortion. The beginning of the song starts off by talking about the abortion being over and then it says “Now everything is imaginary, especially what you love” this is explaining that the person loved the child but it never was really real so it was just imaginary love. This song has a lot in common to the other song by Tim Mcgraw because after both of the women got abortions they ended up breaking up because they were upset about what they had to
