Friar Lawrence plays a vital part in the relationship between Romeo and Juliet. He agrees to marry and help them through their journey to be with each other. Friar Lawrence is a man whom every character respects, and asks council from when there is nobody else to turn to. In act 2 Romeo comes to the Friar to ask him to marry he and Juliet.
