There are many deaths in Romeo and Juliet. There is someone to blame for the majority of them, however. He was the one who married the pair in the first place. He gave the potion to Juliet. Furthermore, he was thinking only of himself throughout the play. He did not take responsibility for things that needed to be done correctly the first time. Friar Laurence was the person most responsible for the deaths of the main characters. First of all, Friar was the person who married Romeo and Juliet in the beginning of it all. Some may say that by marrying them, he followed their desires. However, he did it for selfish reasons. He only wanted to marry them, because he had hopes that it would unite the houses, not because he was doing what they wished
