Friar Laurence is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. According to the text in Act 2, scene 4, Act 2, scene 6, Act 3, scene 3, Act 4, scene 1, Act 4, scene 5, and Act 5, scene 3. Friar Laurence knew that the Capulet’s and Montague’s were born right natural enemy’s and they kids should never be together instead of telling the family that their children are in love and want to get married. He decided to keep it all to himself and let them marry anyway. “In one respect I’ll thy assistant be; for his alliance, may so happy prove to turn your households’ rancor to pure love.” (Act 2 scene 4 line 90-93)
