Freytag’s Pyramid is a geometric shape used to visualise a typical plot structure. The left side slopping upwards depicts the introduction and rising action of the story until it reaches the peak, known as the climax, which is followed by a drop called the falling action or denouement (Brown and Yarbrough, 51).
