Freya Alternate Ending

Grief lingered in the air, the impending death of yet another loved one filling the entire compound with undying despair. It was true, wasn't it? All those who came in association with the Mikaelson family were only signing a promised death sentence. It was utterly discouraging, wasn't it? The fear of ever finding happiness, or love. Or any friendship remotely unrelated to those within your family circle. How could one live with such a burden? The solution was simple at this point, if she were ever to live in peace with no fear of another coming to their ends because of her family's unfortunate legacy. Soon as her tone started to dull and the tiny serpent veins began to slither their way over every inch of her flesh, Freya spoke the words that'd accomplish what Vincent had requested. "Yovara vimuna virael." Tone was low as not to attract attention from the others, or Niklaus. "Yovara vimuna virael. Yovara vimuna virael." The pendant's lavender color brightened in her hand, showing a successful transfer and Freya smiled softly, curling her fingers around the object and the fragile life that now resided within it. "You are safe, dearest Camille..." The blonde whispered to the rescued soul, then slid the talisman into her back pocket when the sounds of Niklaus' movements took her attention.

"Brother..." She offered her condolence in her tone, but it had gone unacknowledged. In silence, Freya urged an exit for she and the other witch, both leaving the Hybrid to mourn. "What now? Get a body for her?" - "Shh. We mustn't discuss it here." Freya warned, noting the confusion in his features. "This must stay only between us. Until Camille makes her choice, she remains in the talisman."

A heavy sigh echoed though the small dank space, followed by a low humorless laugh. Oliver carefully shifted his precarious footing in the soft muck beneath the dark murky water, grimacing as the mud oozed deeper into his boots. He raised his eyes toward the circle of dim light a mere five feet beyond his reach. His eyes lowered to study the wall of algae covered green stones that lined the well shaft…well that had lined most of the shaft. An angry scar of exposed red clay marred a large portion of the wall above where he had attempted to climb out nearly a half hour earlier, the missing stones lost somewhere in the ice cold water below.…

Her three children did not exactly pull closer to each other. In fact, still today there exists strain in the relations of my mother to her siblings, as well as in the relations of her siblings to extended family. Unfortunately my perception of the situation is scattered with bits-and-pieces of facts. Never having been excessively close with my aunt nor my uncle I have never been able to understand their reclusive nature. Outside of the unspoken implications this situation has on me I was also able to watch my mother grieve deeply, my brother grieve differently, and my father attempt to offer support questionably.…
