Freshman Year Research Paper

Freshman year is no joke, it might just be one of the toughest years in high school, I say that from experience. My freshman year was one of the toughest, only because I made it be that way. There were three things that made my freshman year tough, doing my assignments at the last-minute, missing school, and not studying. If I did the opposite of what I did that year, my freshman year would have been a piece of cake. I recommend to all incoming freshman to never do assignments at the last-minute, try to not miss a lot of school, and study, that will make a freshman's year easy.
There are many kids who think it’s “cool” to be that kid who does their homework at the last-minute. In high school it is not cool, it’s actually one of the dumbest thing to do. Students who do assignments at the last-minute don’t get a very good grade on the assignment, which actually affects the overall grade. I was the type of student who did assignments the last-minute. It didn’t matter to me when my assignments got done, because it was my first year of high school. Every time I turned in my assignments

I never studied for any test my freshman year, I thought it was a waste of time. Whenever I got my test back, the score was very bad. Students may think it’s a waste of time, like I thought, but it really helps you in high school. If one does not study for a test, it is more likely that the test score won’t be very good. Some kids don’t like to study, because they think it takes a lot of their time, when someone says “study” it doesn’t necessarily mean working for five hours or so. Teachers always let students know a week before a test is coming up, that gives students a whole week to study. A student should study for at least thirty minutes a day or an hour a day before an upcoming test, that will really help the test score be good. Studying will help freshman year and the rest of their high school years be

Like many students, college students always want the easiest way to attain a good grade. That was what I experienced in high school. Teachers give credit for work completed rather than the accuracy of the work and students would receive credit for things that had nothing to do with materials being taught in class. For example, my teacher would give extra credit on essays for bringing tissue boxes to class. In high school, students get used to slacking off and procrastinating however teachers seemed like they did not care to help discourage these bad habits.…

From the time a five-year-old steps into their first day of kindergarten till the day they graduate from college, they will hear “you are our future, our next generation, the people who will change things” from elder ones. If the next generation is our future, would that consider a senior in high school to be more valuable than a senior in college in society? If the new generation will bring more excellence, knowledge, and a different outlook to the way things are to insure a better tomorrow, the youngest would hold the most worth. In high school, seniors are the ones who rule the school, and is believed that they will be our next line of doctors who will find a cure for cancer or save our planet from global warming.…

There are several practices that allow a student to be more successful in college. Every individual is different and there will be variations in study technique, but one of the most vital ways a student can be successful is to put in the time. Time ties into many successful practices such as putting in the time to study, not procrastinating, and allotting certain time every day to dedicate to school work. Many professors present a recommendation of how many hours of study time should be put in for every hour of class time. A successful student will take that recommendation and use it to their advantage.…

Category #1, graduate high school: The objective is fairly simple, pass all classes and then a high schooler receives his or her diploma. The way that society works within high schools is much different than the objective. The specific process that administrators require students to do in high school are much more than of what many high schoolers can handle. Administrators require unnecessary information for students to learn which causes stress, headaches, and sleepless nights. College Writing And Reading For The Incoming Freshman The transition between High School and University writing can be challenging to the ill-prepared student. In high school we might have gotten great feedback from teachers about our work: “great job”, “very good” etc, but in college our professors might comment differently most likely because they are searching for something different in college writing. Most often because professors expect a different style of writing than that of a high school class, such as a more developed opinion on the subject rather than a summary of what you researched. The most significant differences are visible in structure, research, argument, and format. In college writing, we move away from the standard…

Senior Year My greatest memory so far in my eighteen years of being on this earth is without a doubt my senior year of high school. It was absolutely unforgettable. My senior year as a whole (which was just last year) was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life and the happiest I have ever been. When I was a chubby little freshman with glasses I thought to myself that high school would be one of the longest time periods of my life and that four years would feel like forty years. But man was I wrong, high school went by in the blink of an eye.…
