Fresh Water In America

In America we use water for anything but sometimes we don't realize how much water we consume everyday. Water is very important in our society because we rely on water. For example taking a shower, washing clothes, washing dishes, and drinking water. Our body consumes 60 percent of water and without water our body will be be dehydrated. Americans tend to overuse massive use of water. For instance many people that I speak to they confess that they take more than 30 minute showers or when they're brushing there teeth and they leave the water running.

Humans aren't the only one consuming water. We should think about our environment like our species and all living organisms on earth. They all need water to survive, but only 3% of the water on the Earth's surface is fresh water. According to a source "97.5% of all water on Earth is salt water, leaving only 2.5% as fresh water" (Human Appropriation of the World's Fresh Water Supply).

We need water more then anything else in the world. People need to realize that water is important source that we relay for it in many ways. For example, taking a shower, washing clothes, washing dishes,keeping plants alive in gardens and parks, and drinking water. All plants and animals must have water to survive. If there was no water there would be no life on earth. Many people relay on water because it protects their hearts by drinking a large amount of water could help prevent heart attacks. Next time when you take 1 hour shower think about people suffering just to drink one cup of
