During this study, experimentalists were to split into three different groups each given specific instructions on how long to stay in the sauna. The three groups were divided into different categories such as: one group were to maintain a fifteen minute sauna session four to seven times a week, the second group used the sauna two to three times a week and the last used the sauna once a week. For this particular experiment, it was conducted over two decades according to Kuopio Ischaemic Heart …show more content…
Scientists have stated that frequent heat exposure during sauna bathing may protect both the heart and memory. The findings of this particular research concluded to be somewhat correct but still needs more understandings on this topic. However, one conclusion that has been made was that cardiovascular health affects the brain. It has said that MVPA (moderate to vigorous physical activity) shows benefits in improving different aspects of your well-being such as: mood, reduce anxiety, lower depression risks and optimize cognitive function across the human lifespan (Bergland, 2002). In addition, studies have found; it is not just exercise that allows improvements but also the sweat you create. When you break a sweat, it stimulates BDFN (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) which bulks up gray matter (neurogenesis). Besides neurogenesis, humans have white matter tracts, which helps keep your functions in shape when transitioning from young adulthood to old …show more content…
baker along with the colleagues at West Forest School of Medicine. This experiment was about moderate-to-vigorous aerobic exercise primarily focusing on the use of a treadmill. By choosing to use a treadmill, over any other exercise equipment, increases blood flow to areas of the brain that is responsible for memory and the mental process. The results found concluded that the brain has a dramatic affect when it comes to you being able to score higher on cognitive tests. Further, people who have a mild level of cognitive impairment were tested and results in lower test scores, even if they exercise vigorously. The way that scientists over looked this group of people is by their tau levels. Your tau level determines your neuron activity and if they are dying off then that can mean that Alzheimer's disease is progressing. On the same hand, other aerobic improvements include attention, planning, organizing abilities that are associated with executive function. By having a positive outlook on aerobic exercising, will make you a healthier person inside and out.
When people hear the word exercise, majority will cringe and think of it as a challenge. Besides being a challenge as you age, it may get harder to do hardcore exercises. The fact of knowing that there is a simple solution of staying healthy can change the lives of all. After finishing these experiments, scientists have concluded that using a sauna frequently
