Break ups between friends can sometimes end up being more difficult than the separation with a significant other. When I was in high school, I found myself in a mildly toxic friendship. I met her in the seventh grade and while at that time I found her to be one of my best friends, as we got older the friendship began to grow more strenuous. Occasionally it turns out that people can end up being a completely different person than who you think they are. When I was sixteen years old, I realized just how tough it was to maintain a true friendship when the girl that I thought was one of my closest friends became somebody I felt I didn’t even know.…

When you and a soon-to-be friend get to know each other you may eventually get to their core and share personal connections with them. I learned that it is not easy moving around and finding someone you can actually hang out with and that I did not do my best of keeping a friendship. I did not know that leaving that summer I would never see or talk to Mary again, but I also did nothing to keep that friendship going once I knew it was coming to an end. Not all friendships work out, but sometimes, in this situation, you can use mediated communication and that friendship could last a life time if you put in the…

If you open a dictionary, you will see that the definition of friendship is the state of being friends, but that does not truly clarify what friendship is. Friendship, in my opinion, is much more than that. It’s about trust, dependence, and love. I have had experience with a real friend. Gracie and I met last year in middle school when her then-boyfriend introduced us to each other.…
