French Horn Concert Report

This afternoon I attended a concert in Founders Hall at 12:30 pm. David Jolley played the French Horn and Martha Locker played the piano. David Jolley played a horn solo which included three poems of Thomas Tranströmer: Tracks, Allegro, and Morning birds. After each versus of the song he would play the horn. Mr. Jolley has been called “a soloist second to none”. He has traveled and played all over the world to North and South America, East Asia, Europe and Japan. He has also collaborated with many talented groups.

Martha Locker played the piano this afternoon in a duet with David Jolley. Together they played Villanelle and Nocturne for Horn and Piano, and Sonata No.3 of Alec Wilder for Horn and Piano which included Allegro
