The French bulldog has a very unique body type. They range from 11-13 inches tall at the shoulder. One of the reasons that French bulldogs are unique is there huge “bat ears”. The fur coat of a French bulldog is short and easy to groom. A favorite feature of the French bulldog is their face wrinkles. They have smushed faces which means that they also have pushed in noses, and that leads to minor breathing problems. Their minor breathing problems are why they can’t tolerate hot or cold weather very well.

French bulldogs don’t originate in America. Actually they originated in England. The French bulldog is a cross breed between the American bulldog, the pug, and the Boston terrier. First they had floppy ears but now every French bulldog
