Freedom Writers Movie Vs Book

First of all freedom writers is a movie and a book based on a true story.Ms.Gruwell was a teacher from wilson high school.Gruwell gave 150 Students dairies to write about their lives.In these dairies,talks about gang violence,abuse,the legal system and about their personal lives./In freedom writers there is a difference between the book and the film in perspective ways. For me it looks like the movie shows the life around Ms.Gruwell. In the book they don't really talk about her life, living with her husband or talking to her father. Also I believe the movie only follows a few characters lives.In the book entries talks about the lives of the students outside the school.In the movie shows how student get closer to Ms.Gruwell and how students start showing progress at school.The book goes into more details, some of things in the movie are that they go in different …show more content…
Ms.Gruwell made a great method to keep her students in school,for me she is the hero in freedom writers.She made a great effort.In the beginning of the movie Ms.Gruwell is nervous,her student wouldn't take her serious.Eva makes the the first entry talks about skin color and fighting for territory with the different race.One of the main things the film mentioned was RESPECT.Eva explains,”I am my father's daughter, and when they call me to testify,I will protect my own,no matter what.” She goes on says,a girl in America can be crowned for her beauty but an aztec princess is chosen for her blood.That means she fights for her people, against those who say, “we are less than they are,against those who say that we are not equal in beauty and
