Freedom Writers Freedom Writers was a very touching movie about the different gang lives people have to go through every day. It shows what minorities in the hood have to experience day after day to survive. These kids have little care of their education because they have to grind day after day on the streets to even survive. Nothing in these kids life is given to them for free they have to work so hard to get what they want. When they get a new teacher they all disrespect her at first. All of these kids were used to fighting and not caring about school. This teacher believed in them and wanted the best for these kids. It starts to become a habit that young kids start to join gangs. Kids think that it is cool to be apart of the gang life and they want to join. Gangs discriminate each other by different races and these races stick together. Gang violence could be stopped if everyone just respected each other and not discriminate other gangs. These kids have such tough lives and usually do not care about getting an education. Most kids are out on the streets grinding trying to survive and help support their families. They do not really worry too much trying to be respectful at school they want to be shown as tough and savage because they want people to be scared of them. There school teacher really helped them become normal people and become more humane to society. She helped them by caring in school and trying to relate the kids to Anne frank. Kids started to become interested with Anne Frank so they actually read the books. The teacher had to work and extra job to get these kids books that the library did not want to supply for the kids. This teacher worked so hard because she wanted to make a difference in the kid's life. She had to pick up an extra job so that she can fund the new books. He was shot to death by the violent Latino Gang. The car got away and the entire shooting was framed on the black kid rage quitting and being a noob at the video game. This movie showed that telling the truth and doing the right thing is very important to become a good person. Eva saw who did the violent shooting against the black kid. Eva at first was going to defend her crazy mexican gang but she decided to tell the truth. She learned a lot from her teacher to become a good person and try to make a change in her world. Her teacher became a good influence in her life which made Eva do the right thing in the courtroom. It was very hard to go against all of her Mexican gang friends but she was trying to become a better person. Her entire gang was so mad at her and beat her up after the court trial. She got kicked out of her gang and was threatened to be killed. She did the right thing even though she might have died. All of these kids now want to learn more and focus on education instead of gang violence. This teacher really helped them get out of the hood life.
