"In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved" (Franklin D. Roosevelt). Our country's present state was achieved over the years by sacrifice, bravery, and honor by not only soldiers, but the American people past and present. If the goal of freedom wasn't upheld, then our human rights, flag, and everything we know today wouldn't exist. By flying a flag, respecting those who have fallen, and being grateful for what you have, are all representing sacrifice, honor, and bravery.
