Freedom Is A Gift To America

Freedom is America’s gift to my generation. It’s a very important because in the 60s not everyone is treated fairly, they discriminated African Americans. Even though we have had freedom in the past it’s not always been as great as it is now, but it’s not even perfect now. Sometimes I think what if the north didn’t win the Civil War, not everyone in this country wouldn’t be free. Here’s why freedom is so important to our generation.
Freedom is not available in every country in the world, it isn’t even available for every gender. In many countries in the Middle East women have very little rights to them. When we signed the Declaration of Independence we granted freedom to African Americans, but some of the people who had signed the Declaration of Independence had slaves in their backyard! Freedom is a gift to everyone who has it in their country, but some people abuse that privilege by doing things that would be unworthy. People also mistreat people because of their race and religion. But for most of those people they may come to America to have a new life but probably another reason why they come is that they want better freedom then what they had before. …show more content…
If we didn’t have any freedom we wouldn’t have a choice of president, religion, and what our everyday life would be like. We also might not have gotten the opportunity to have sports if we didn’t have freedom. But we are able to have those options in the great old America. If we didn’t have much freedom we could believe in things that our leader thinks and does that other countries may think that could or will be harmful or may start a war with the world.
