Free Will In Shakespeare's Macbeth And Paradise Lost

Free will is someone 's ability to do whatever and make choices that change their future in the way they want. The choices we make change our lives and leads us down our own future. In Macbeth and paradise lost, you can see two examples of how free will; you can also see how the powered choice causes two characters to face isolation in their community. In both stories, they are only isolated by their own actions, no one made them follow that path. They alone were responsible for their down fall.

If they never said anything then Macbeth would have never known what he was lacking. Or he could have taken the knowledge and lived his life and waited to see how thing panned out. He didn 't do that though, he took matters into his own hands. He decided to act on his own desires and make his choices. It could also be argued that lady Macbeth led him to the first plot to murder the king and that 's what set the whole story in motion. However Macbeth is the one who killed the king. Lady Macbeth admitted that she could not complete the task, so it fell to her husband. She might have helped him plan the murder but it was not by her hands that the king died. That god already knew what was going to happen and could have changed the fate of things. howeevr, god doesnt work that way, he leaves us our free eill to make our path and follow our own hearts, It could be argued that satan isnt really isloated in hell. some could say that, that is right where he wants to be. however, satan is in hell wirh a bunch of tratiors and angels who rebelled with him. How is he suppose to trust them when they could do the same things t hi at anytime, i mean they just did it.so is he even really in a good community with these angels? Satan doesnt even want to be apart og the group. he wants to rule over them. He wants to be isloated in his own power.
