Lennie is one of the characters who clearly shows that life is not controllable. Lennie is uncontrollable of his own life due to his lack of intelligence and inability to control the strength within himself. Lennie isn’t able to choose or either face his destiny due to his mental disability. From the beginning, George warned him not to interact with Curley’s Wife, “Don’t you ever take a look at that bitch. I don’t care what she says and what she does... You leave her be.” (32) but the fate cannot be changed no matter what, so, in end, he ended up his life because he interacted with Curley’s Wife. Even though he had so many choices to prevent himself from his own destruction, his ill fate brought him to a point where he got no choice. When Curley’s Wife suddenly got close to Lennie, his actions were impossible to control, “Lennie was in a panic. His face was contorted.
