Lady Macbeth and Macbeth had a couple things in common starting with manipulation. Macbeth was the one who was manipulated, “ Macbeth shalt be king hereafter” (Mac.1.3.50). The witches manipulated him into thinking he had to kill Duncan in order to be king. But he also was manipulated by Lady Macbeth, “ To alter favor is to fear. Leave all the rest to me” (Mac.1.5.69-70). She told him as long as he kills Duncan she will do the rest to cover it up. Lady Macbeth knew what was coming and was not prepared and let herself go, “wherefore was that cry?” (Mac.5.5.16). She was in the castle and ended up committing suicide but the king did not know until he asked the Seyton came by and said, “ the queen, my lord, she is dead” (Mac.5.5.17). He was quit hurt with the fact of his queen dying so he decided to take that out onto the battlefield and go after Macduff. Little did he know that Macduff was the one that was not born by woman. Macduff said, “ I have no words. My voice is in my sword” (Mac.5.8.6-7). Then he killed Macbeth and the war was over.
Lady Macbeth had more of the free will then Macbeth because she died at her own risk and everything thing she did was at her own risk. But when it came to Macbeth everything was planned or someone planned it for him. As you can see women have more free will then men.
