Free Play Analysis

In these sections of Free Play I found it interesting why sometimes when during free play we may have blockages. During the reading, I learned why sometimes we might faces struggle when writing and to be able to keep going. However, I wanted to talk about how sometimes creativity can be destroyed. On chapter Childhood End’s this chapter I found it very interesting this topic because I’m very passionate that people should follow their dreams. The author talks about how as children we are very creative human beings but when we get older our creativity get either destroyed or transformed it something that society want us to be. I can understand the author because when we are little we want to be something when we grow up, let say a famous singer, however when we start growing many people will tell you its impossible, to be realistic and you should get a solid career. …show more content…
We live in a society that we are shown from when we were kids that we should get a safe solid job to be able to live but we forget what we actually love to do. I feel like people and school even though they do help us and educate us that we should be realistic. As like the author said “ School can nurture crativity in children, but they can also destroy it, an all too often do” ( Nachmanovitch, pg 116). Also, another phrase that the author used that I found impactful that society is “wing clippers” (Nachmanovitch, 117) which causes us to not fight for our dreams and our creativity is taken away from us.
