Free College Admissions Essays: My Trip To Alaska

Ever since I was four years old, I have read books watched movies, and have heard out the breathtaking experiences in Alaska. Though I haven't been there, I know everything there is to know about this astonishing state. Polar bears and penguins, are some of the many animals I would dies to study and see up close. Their behavior and adaptations are unlike anything ever seen in this common state we know as home. The climate is like no other, except maybe Antarctica, the snow and ice surrounding this highly unpopulated landscape. The air is so cold; your breath hardly turns into the solid matter that we know as ice. Climbing mount McKinley would be an out of this world experience for me to explore. The stiff climbs and high peaks would not bother me because my goal would be to reach the summit. This trip that I have on my bucket list, I hope I will be able to travel one day. On my trip to Alaska i would like more than any thing else to climb mount McKinley and vist Denali National Park. The year before last I did a project on Denali national park in Alaska. I wrote letters to them and sent emails to find as much information on Denali as I could. I picked this national park over all of the rest the because Denali National Park is the site of the highest peak on the continent of North America. You can't miss the peak of Mt. McKinley rising in the distance, but you are also likely to see grizzly bears, caribou and moose. As you make your way through Denali National Park, you will be following in the footsteps of humans tracing back to the last Ice Age 12,000 years ago. Mount McKinley is the third Highest of the seven summits. By one measurte it could be concidered the third tallest Mountian in the world.
