When looking at the circadian rhythm in mice it has become well known that one of the leading contributors for afflicting the circadian rhythm is ethanol, but with understanding that the sexes have different drinking behaviors it is left to question if ethanol or sex plays a more significant role in circadian rhythm derived from their behaviors that has not been examined. Although it has previously been investigated that female mice are notorious for drinking more, the effects that this behavior has on the overarching circadian rhythm has not truly been investigated in a free choice drinking experiment.
