They pledge their allegiance to the flag, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. So if this were true, would there not be justice for all? Pro Life believes that “The fetus is a human being from the moment of conception; this means abortion is murder, which is immoral and should be illegal” (SexInfo). They believe that while it is true that the fetus is unborn, it should still have rights to life. Abortion is the equivalent to killing any person, and no matter what the age, murder is murder. Unborn babies are considered human beings by the US government, so they should be treated as such. There are multiple other reasons that people side with Pro Life, such as the exhausted list of people who can not have children, and are waiting on a list for someone to be willing to give them theirs, but it happens too often that instead of someone giving their unwanted baby to someone who desperately wants it, they choose to abort it. Another reason that many people side with Pro Life is the fact that pregnancy is controllable except in certain cases such as rape. There are also reasons such as the fact that “A woman's risk of dying from having an abortion is 0.6 in 100,000, while the risk of dying from giving birth is around 14 times higher (8.8 in 100,000);” therefore, contradicting the Pro Life argument that an abortion is medically dangerous, because keeping the baby has much greater risks (ProCon.org). Also, teenagers who become pregnant “are much more likely to leave of school; receive inadequate prenatal care; rely on public assistance to raise a child; develop health problems; or end up divorced”(Lowen). Pro Choice gives the mother a chance to live her life the ways that she chooses to, without the restrictions of the law forcing her to have an unwanted
