Frederick McKinley Jones was born on May 17, 1893, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jones was granted more than 6o patents and became famous for his design of a portable air cooling system for trucks carrying perishable foods. Jones invented many devices including his invention of the apparatus for the movie industry, a device that deliver tickets and change for movie goers which is still used today. He invented , a snow mobile, as well as many other devices. Jones inventions put him on top. He was the winner of the National Medal of Technology, and was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Jones became the first African American to be elected into the American Society of Refrigerator Engineers. As well as all of his great accomplishments,
