Although Fred Gratzon is right about the progression, laziness is also harming our population. One researcher has found that laziness causes as many deaths as smoking. That’s nearly six million deaths a year all because people have let their precious time go to waste. It gets to the point that people have to eventually do something about their wellbeing and try harder to achieve a health goal. Different people will have different opinions of what this means to them. Depending on your energy levels, an inactive person may not be able to accomplish a higher goal as the active person. A person who enjoys most their time sitting on their couch would consider walking a mile an easily achievable goal, but a person that runs up to eight miles everyday would probably look down upon that other person’s one mile. Also a lazy person would consider thirty minutes at the gym a reasonable amount of time spent, while an active person would stay for almost two hours.
