Freaky Fridays Dance Concert Report

The Freaky Fridays Dance Concert by Clayton Productions was an awesome show. It was a well preformed show with good music, costumes, lighting, and dancers. The show was very freaky and spooky. The dancers in the show all wore torn, ragged costumes and dark make-up around their eyes and light foundation to make themselves look like zombies. I think this was very effective. The dancers looked spooky, creepy, and frightening. Everyone in the show stayed silent unless they were singing, growling, walking like a zombie, or coming up to people to scare them. The dancers not only danced they performed the role they played. The lighting helped make the dances seem spookier and helped make the dancers’ costumes and make up more realistic. The lighting was very dark with red and brown-pink colors and was used in a way that cast deep shadows on the dancers. This made a freaky show seem even freakier. The lighting was effective because it enhanced the dancers’ make up and the freaky ambiance that I believe the creators of the show desired. There were not any props used other than microphones, however there were a few stage decorations. The stage was decorated with a coffin, a few trees, a chandelier with cobwebs on it, and many bats, pumpkins, and other Halloween decorations. There was a lot of glitter on the …show more content…
The performance was the perfect length, just when I started to get somewhat tired of watching zombies dance, the show ended. The music, lights, costumes, decorations, singing, and style of dance all showcased the freaky theme perfectly. Although the dance concert was amazing, I would have improved some of the dance moves. Because of the lack of space on the stage, all the dancers seemed to stay in one spot the entire number. I would have loved to see fewer dancers per number, allowing for better use of the stage space. Overall, the dance concert was one of the best local productions I have
