Freak The Mighty Rodman Philbrick Analysis

Everyone needs a worthy friend by her side. A true friend is someone that you can always count on. In Rodman Philbrick's Freak the mighty the two true friends names are Max and Kevin. They go on many quests from being the knights in the medieval time to finding treasures.Kevin and max both have their differences but they can conquer anything when they’re together. The one thing I pointed out as a theme was power of a good friendship.Kevin lives with a tragic disease, and max lives with the pressure of knowing what his dad has done in the past, but that doesn't ruin or affect their friendship in any way, as it should not.

First, Friendship is the most important thing in life. A friend is someone there when you are having troubles, and need

Some peoples where fine others were scared, and max showed them wrong at the end. Another example is on page 31 When blade was going after freak and max,and freak thought that max, this big strong guy was going to most likely beat them up just tried walking away from them.]What I mean by this is reputations can be good or bad,When I say good i'm saying that someone’s reputation could be popular and nice,But the bad thing is someone can have a reputation saying something bad about their parents, and it can say there mean and all this terrible stuff that isn't true.Kid’s did do this is school to freak and max but that didn't stop them from enjoying life and there

In my book, Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25, the theme is teamwork. Throughout the entire book, the characters all help each other to achieve their shared goals. For example, when Michael needed a ride to Pasadena, the school bully who stayed back in school and has a license, got him there. Also, when Michael, Taylor, and Ostin started the Electroclan, they helped each other by researching what happened to them making them electrical. For these reasons, I think the following article, poem, and short video suite my book’s theme.…

The theme that seems to really stand out is death and how the author portrays it. Right in the beginning of the book you find out that Ben will be dying soon, even though he is still in high school. (4). The weird thing is that Ben says, “ But I have to say, and this will sound strange, the minute Doc said it, I felt a congruence. I’ve never pictured myself over twenty; never really thought I would be.”…

The first theme is standing up for what matters to you. The author, Ria Voros, communicates her theme effectively by showing this in the main character as she stands up for what matters to her. An example in the text is when she stood up for james by making posters. It mentioned in the story what poster she was making “I speak to no one, hunch over my computer, type, cut/paste, download and with all the artistic talent I possess, create” (pg.182). This shows that she is standing up for her friend by using her artistic talent to show everyone that James was something to her.…

The first example of this theme would be the relationship between Sonny and his Mother. I think Elsie Hickam had one of the greatest impacts on his life. She was always there to support him and encourage him to try harder and do the best he could. In chapter three she wanted him to try to build his rocket again because that was his dream, and it did not really work out the first time. A lot of people in Coalwood talked about what happened when the first rocket failed and his father was embarrassed for himself but his mother was not embarrassed.…

Another common theme is that the main character in these stories don't really have parents. There might be a parent in the story but that parent isn't raising their kids. One major theme from this book was that the main character had a tough life and had a rough background. Despite this, he ended up being alright. The book appealed to me more in an emotional way than a logical way.…

As we all know, the theme of a story is the lesson that is being taught throughout the novel. But a theme can also be the subject of a talk, a piece of writing, or a person's thoughts. All stories have a theme, but they may not always be directly stated. This requires readers to dig deep down into the text and analyze the lessons that they have acquired through the book. Between the two excerpts, "Angelas Ashes" and "The Street", there is common theme that perseverance is important when times get tough in life.…

For example, coming-of-age is a major theme expressed in this novel. The teenage years are critical in the whole process of growing up. You hit puberty, you mature, and you get a real sense of what the world is like. For Charlie, an introverted “late blooming” wallflower, he is scared and anxious about high school, and is also struggling with mental issues. Luckily, he meets the charismatic step-siblings Sam and Patrick who are more than willing to give Charlie the best possible high school experience that can.…

They learn to trust one another and use their strengths, and from there deeper feelings start to grow. Though emotions are high, seeing Riley and Max interact, deepen their friendship, and refuse to be separated. In consultation, throughout the book, we see the lives of two teenangers and their experience with a hostage situation. The novel gives you as realistic portrayal of the realities of a hostage situation, and not everyone is going to survive, and their deaths aren’t going to be clean and easy: some are horrific, some are tragic, some are accidental.…

The "Four Way Test" is a very good thing because you do apply the four questions to your life. These for questions are: is it the truth, is it fair to all concerned, will it build goodwill or better friendships, and will it be beneficial to all concerned? The truth is important. Truth is defined as, the quality or state of being true. In Spanish, I took a test, and I got a bad grade on the test.…
