Max isn’t allowed to visit Freak right away, and he’s really frustrating him to the point that he’s going crazy. While Max wanders around the hospital, he runs into the Fair Gwen, who gives him a big hug. She later takes Max in to Freak’s room, but Max isn’t prepared for what he sees; tubes and wires all connected to Freak. But Freak is still Freak and is playing the Star Trek theme song with his tracheotomy tube. Max asks when he will be coming home, but Freak replies saying that he won’t be coming home in this present condition. Freak tells Max that once he gets his new bionic body, and the next time he sees him, he will be much more improved.
