The first time it didn’t work out after I took a bid but the second go around I new what I really wanted out of a fraternity. With this experience and having gone through everything twice I have a better understanding and know what to look for. This would help in recruiting new members and helping them to find their future

Growing up I was constantly reminded to do more than whats expected by many women in different time of my life. I often heard my teachers refer to each other sorrors and addressed jokes about the strange embroidered letters on their jackets. Being only 10 and curious, I wanted to know the significance and meaning of the strange letters and defending them was so important. The conversation grew broader than the letters. I was informed about Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and the importance of taking risk, speaking up, sisterhood, and going beyond measure to ensure the needs of other were met.…

I like knowing there is always going to be someone there willing to lend you a hand and stick by your side no matter what. Hi Toshira, Thanks for your email! The Admissions Ambassador program is no longer considered under the Federal Work Study Program. It is possible to do go through both Work Study and the Ambassdor program, but I would not recommend it as it would be challenging to manage both jobs, along with your class schedule. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me. Best Regards,…

I believe I should be selected to represent VCU SCMA, because it would be an incredible opportunity for me to be able to draw on all the skills that I’ve learned throughout my studies utilizing them in a practical application setting. As a former athlete competition is something I thrive for as it brings out the best in you and forces you to learn things about yourself and the way you think. As a soon to be graduating senior I think this experience would allow me the chance to further develop and hone my skillset so that I’m a more presentable and qualified applicant for employers. The opportunity to represent the VCU SCMA department would be an exceptional one as although our department is in its early stages it is run by exceptional people.…

As a previous ambassador at my high school, I have found a fond passion of servant leadership. What I loved most of all about being an ambassador was teaching and interacting with other students who were passionate about learning and serving other people; this program brought out the best in me as a person and a Hawaiian leader. I'm hoping that being apart of these programs would help me to find a common interest and passion with others at Pace. I mainly want to work with other students who want to strengthen their leadership skills and apply those skills to life and continue to pass on these skills as words of encouragement to others. I also believe that I would bring diversity to this program because I am from the Pacific region.…

I am a Christian so I was pleased to find the sorority is based on Christian principles. Public service is what attracted me the most because I love helping those in need. One of the reasons I would be honored to be a student ambassador is because I want to introduce and familiarize other prospective students with the school that I love so much, that has opened so many doors of opportunities, introduced me to so many amazing people, and has given me a top notch education. I want to encourage students who are perhaps unsure if WSU is right for them, or if college in general is right for them, that WSU and all that it has to offer makes it the place for anyone, from all backgrounds, all experiences, and all areas of interests. This is because WSU also offers majors, clubs and organizations, and communities in which anyone can find a sense of belonging and acceptance. Aside from the school itself, WSU is home to…
