Franklin Evans is an American Artist born in Reno, Nevada in 1967. In 1989, Evans received his bachelor’s of fine arts from Stanford University and in 1993, his master’s of fine arts from the University of Iowa. Evans has worked on many pieces including treetear, thoughtmakertrees, treetarget, and turningtime. He currently lives and works in New York, NY. Not only is Evans known for his paintings, he is also known for his sculptures and installations. In his installations, Evan is known to use pieces of tape, bubble wrap, and unstretched canvas. In much of his work, Evans likes to represent the in between or the unfinished rather than focusing on the perfection of a piece. Evans has won many awards for his artwork including the NYFA Fellowship
