During a majority of the rough time periods that the United States had gone through, the presidents were Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson. These presidents had some hardships to overcome and some great ideas and plans for America, but also some major failures that made things rough for the next couple of years.
Franklin D. Roosevelt was the president of the United States for three total terms, from 1933-1945. He was going to college to be a lawyer, but unfortunately dropped out. Even through his under graduate school seemed to be a breeze for him. Roosevelt tried to get back at the Supreme Court by proposing to stock the court with justices more favorable to his New Deal Idea, but those in Congress, including some Democrats, disagreed and did not pass the idea. As in a few of the alphabet agencies like, SSB (social security board) which was meant to carry out the orders supplied by the Social Security Act of the previous year. He also created FHA (Federal Housing Administration) which was initially created to help unemployed construction workers and to help Americans move from a nation of renters into a nation of owners, and also created TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) which was made to control floods and improve living environments.

Johnson also entered the Naval Reserves while being a Congressman, and on his first bombing run near the South Pacific, he boarded a plane named Wabash Cannonball. Before his second trip to bomb he need to take a quick bathroom break which saved his life. On his return from the facilities, Johnson boarded another plane that survived the
