This chapter talks about the downsides of ‘thin slicing’ thus presenting the Warren Harding error. Bush was tasked with perpetuating the principles of Reagan under different and extraordinary circumstances (Montagne, 2005). Conceived in the wake of arguably the biggest tragedy in American history, Bush wielded expanded executive power and thus possessed and an exceptional opportunity to increase the relevancy of the conservative regime. However, administration blunders such as the 2003 Iraq invasion, ostensible inaction in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and failure to circumvent the 2008 financial crisis ultimately inhibited the Bush administration’s ability to usher in a conservative reawakening. George W. Bush’s domestic agenda, foreign policy and penchant to turn to Reagan prescriptions in novel circumstances demonstrates his classification as a president engaged in the politics of articulation.…

I am honestly not surprised at all about what the video has to say. It's wrong that this type of stuff is allowed to happen in our country our government looks a lot more like an oligarchy than a republic. Personally I think money and power corrupts people and that's what's happening in our congress as soon as a lobbyist approach a congressmen with some cash the people's voice he represents flys right out the window. What we need is a strong progressive leader that will crack down on this corruption like Theodore Roosevelt did back in the early 1900's. It is downright outrageous that the people spending money on our politics spend 5.8 billion and in return make 4.4 trillion which is coming from the taxpayers.…

To begin with I agree to disagree with this question because all though Nixon has failed his country he is still human and no human is perfect or should ever be expected to be perfect. As Nixon being president he has a lot of expectations and choices to make to either better the country or destroy the country. He is ultimately in control and maybe it caused a burden on him into making the choices and had made. Each individual can look at it from different angles to tell if he made the right choices dealing with the water gate. If he chooses to make the wrong choices knowing exactly what he was doing then he ultimately deserves all the negative feedback from the people of the United States because him being the President at the time he should have been making the best choices for the country.…
