Is virtue it's own reward? The is answer is uncertain. Benjamin Franklin defined virtue as a standard of moral propriety ,and had a few reasons for following these standards. One reason being wanted to arrive at perfection. And the other being he was following an older American tendency to self-examination and self-correction. Again Benjamin Franklin defined virtue in his book "arriving at perfection" as "a standard of moral propriety" or a rule by which you should see right and wrong. Webster's dictionary defines virtue as a morally good behavior or character. Obviously these two definitions are similar ,but Webster is easier to understand.
