Frankenstein Research Paper In the novel, Frankenstein written by Marry Shelley, Victor had undoubtedly become relentless in pursuing the reanimation of life in an inanimate lifeless being. Victor could have inevitabely be called obsessed with his work. Victor Frankenstein had always been curious about the reanimation of human life. Until he attempted it and suceeded was when he knew he made a mistake. Victor Frankenstein was blinded by curiosity and obsession. Victor Frankenstein would become a victim of his own creation after creating such a being. Frankensein was always obsessed with his work ingoring his family and loved ones:

Since Victor rejected the job of being the support system of the monster, Victor basically created a crushed soul which is the cause of the monster to show his true and full emotion in front of Victor. Although Victor’s actions inevitably struck down his family, Victor completed his goal to re-animate human life. However, was Victor satisfied with the results after what he so mercilessly pursued? Joseph Kestner’s idea of Victor creating the monster for other reasons shows just how Victor’s mania blocked him from the true people that belonged in his life: “Victor Frankenstein’s evident longing for another, despite his close friendship with Henry Clerval and his betrothal to Elizatbeth, leads to the creation of a being who becomes the Inadequate other which is in reality Victor himself.” (Kestner1) Kestner explains that Victor’s alienation from his friends and family drove him away and created a false sense of lonliness in his life. Victor’s obsession with the reanimation of human life is undoubtedly clear. What the quote made by Kestner reflects on is the notion of Frankenstein being lonely and in this sense of lonliness created a being that he could call his own creation. Victor inevitably in his mind set of insanity created this creature which reflected what he had made him self out to be all the days and months he kept
