In the beginning Victor is described as a perfect son with a perfect life eager to learn more,(http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/frankenstein/summary.html). He loves learning new things and wants to know more about how life works but not life as in the past,present and future but as in life and death. On the other hand he began to have restless nights that left him paranoid to find the solution to create life that was once gone with different body parts. As explain in the book - SparkNotes
( chapter 3). He became obsessed with his studies and what he had found out. Victor was ready to test out his his theory and his professor's theories. This eagerness drove him crazy like and hard to communicate with. It had gotten so bad he stopped paying attention to the outside world and did not care about the consequences.
The last stage of Victor's personality changes happened during after his creation “Frankenstein”. He went for being obsessed and hurgey towards seeing his creation come to life, too feeling guilt and regret. His guilt was so strong he did not even want to see what he had created. His anger also grew, e could not believe he had worked so hard and gave up his happiness / social life just to create something that was so monstrous. When he moved back he felt as if his whole world was coming down due too the death of his younger brother,Justine his father.
