Once upon a time there were two twins named Katelyn and Julia who loved to go on adventures. One day the twins went into the woods to play hide and seek. Julia counted to ten while Katelyn ran to hide. First, Julia looked behind a tree, nothing. She looked behind a big rock, and there she saw a huge, dark-haired creature. The monster looked at her with his eyes the size of Texas and said softly “please don’t be afraid of me, I’m not going to hurt you.” Julia took one long look at him, screamed, sprinted in the opposite direction, and hid behind the biggest rock she could find where she also saw Katelyn. Julia was panting as she tried to get the words to come out of her mouth. “I...I saw a monster. It’s legs are taller than a skyscraper, and it’s teeth are sharper than 1,000 knives.” Katelyn gave Julia a long, judgmental look and said “I’m sure you did...are you sure you you aren’t just trying to scare me?” Julia said “follow me, I’ll show you,” so Julia led Katelyn in the direction where she saw the monster.

Julia tried to run again but Katelyn grabbed her shoulders and stood her still. The monster said “please don’t run away from me again. I just want to be your friend. Nobody will talk to me because I’m too big and weird looking. Katelyn said “I think you’re beautiful. I’ll be your friend!” The monster reached down and gave Katelyn the biggest hug she had ever received like she was being hugged by a ginormous teddy bear. Julia was still hesitant and didn’t want to be the monsters friend. The monster said “my name is Teddy. I don’t have lots of experience with friends but I think I know how to do it.” Julia ran away out of disbelief of the past events and sat in her bed waiting for Katelyn to return, she never
