Francisco Pizarro was the man that was leading the expedition into the Inca empire. He was born around the year 1471 in Trujillo, Estremadura. In Spain, Estremadura was the poorest area that in the present-day is now the border of Portugal. Farming was difficult that few of the younger people were barely making a living at it. Instead of going through difficult farming the were becoming as soldiers to seek for their fortunes. That was a way that Pizarro was escaping poverty so the only that he could have fortune is becoming a soldier. He joined the Spanish army when he was just a teenager. He was a part of a fight in Italy and he joined the Spanish army. He traveled to the New World in 1502. His father was in the Spanish army and there were
