Introduction
The following is a research plan designed for O’Downey’s Irish Pub. We are a family oriented pub style restaurant that offers casual dining, televised sports, entertainment and music to the down town Depoe Bay, Oregon area.
Mission Statement
At O’ DOWNEY’S our company’s goal is “Success”. We will meet this goal through the financial obligations of the restaurant and our loyalty to the community. A huge sea wall runs the length of the downtown area which enables visitors to shop or dine always within view of the ocean. This is the only town on the entire coast with this amenity. Waves run beneath lava beds and build pressure to spout water as high as 60 feet into the air. These are known as spouting horns and are visible during turbulent seas and stormy weather which brings many tourists in to observe.
Lincoln County occupies a 55-mile strip of the Central Oregon coast, from Cascade Head in the north to Cape Perpetua on the south. A scenic flight over Lincoln County reveals its beauty in mountainous wooded terrain, steep ridges, winding inland valleys and ocean beaches. The County's population of nearly 40,000 clusters around the five coastal towns of Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, Newport, Waldport and Yachats, with Newport being the county seat. Tourism, timber and fishing are predominant industries. O’Downey’s will provide a popular eating establishment for tourism and the local fisherman as well as the retirees that live in or around the area. consists of the “4C’s” which are Courtesy, Cleanliness, Common Sense, and Consistency. Our team accomplishes this through the “O’Downey Pledge” which is: Optimism, Determination, Organization, Willingness, Neatness, Excellence, through a “Yes” attitude.
