Francheska Case Study Answers

Decent Essays
Francheska, in the past I did struggle with studying, as I would memorize what was on the study guide. This was a problem as I would study how to solve a question that was worded a certain way and then on the test it was completely different and I would have a hard time solving the question. I find this to be a big problem when studying for a quiz or exam. You want to just memorize everything on the study guide, instead of studying how to apply the concepts. With the exam we just had I used the whole method, without even knowing that was the technique I used. Before I would read the chapter I would look over the chapter outline and summary. This really did help with studying.

Actually, I am still in the most challenging academic course I have taken to date, AP United States History (APUSH). Having little knowledge of this material, I have had to spend much more time studying.…

High school came to an end May 15 for me, and I believed college wouldn't be much different, but I wasn't entirely correct. Many things changed which I had to accustom myself to, from living on my own, to making sure I ate correctly, but little did I know that I would have to change my study habits. For as long as I can recall, I have been using the same study habits throughout high school. I believed and was taught to memorize, but I also realized that even though I would pass my test with flying colors, I would find myself forgetting a majority of what I had memorized a month and or a week ago. Now that I am aware that the technique used in high school, will no longer apply in my college years, and years to come.…

Testing for a lot of people is considered to be what I think of as a hard thing to have to do. Why I think and feel this way is because the most test that someone has to take is taken with having a reason behind it and to follow. Testing is completed to determine what you know or has learned about something. There are many reasons why we have to take a test. Some of the reasons for taking a test is in school to learn where each child’s knowledge of education stands, driving test to receive your driver’s licenses, college entry exam to get into a certain college, military testing to be accepted into the military, medical research testing, etc.…

For a student currently enrolled in college composition, this technique has helped me gather information more effectively for my essays. My essays are now more precise and provide more…
