The song I chose to represent the book,”The Lord Of The Flies” was Fragile by Tech N9ne ft. Kendrick Lamar, ¡MAYDAY! & Kendall Morgan. This song is about a boy that is worried because he doesn't think the other kids will accept him because he plays the violin. In verse one of the song Wrekonize & ¡MAYDAY! talk about being so scared that the main kid of the music video stays up all night long, scared of tomorrow, and even breaks his alarm, then in the hook Wrekonize & Kendall Morgan talks about how he didn't think he’d be as fragile as he is. This relates to piggie in as early as page 22 and 23 when the boys are deciding who should be chief. He doesn't say anything about how he should be chief because he himself is the one person on the island that knew how to blow the conch, then he told Ralph, When the boys saw that he is the one who blew it, they thought he was the smartest one and that almost immediately made the boys want him as chief. Which is close to the same reasoning as before, Tech states next,” they slam todays gifted” which relates physically to Piggy and Simon's deaths. Simon dies first by the bots “slamming” him with their fists, then Piggy dies by getting slammed with a boulder and it slamming his head which kills him. Then Tech also states,”People never do try to listen” which also relates to piggie. This relates to him on page 21 when Jack tells piggy,” Youre talking too much, Shut up fatty”. That is after piggy literally says 5 words, which goes to show Jack doesn't want to hear what he has to say, just because he is fat. Jack is hoping that if he calls for a revote he'll be able to show ralph up because he assume that all of the boys will vote for him since he can provide food and protection. Then after that Kendrick says,” Grab a fishing pole and throw me with the sharks” that part relates to the littluns playing in the ocean. It relates to them because the older boys don't care if they get eaten by sharks by playing in the ocean and if they survive they will still take care of them. Which then Kendrick says,”This is more than you, and this is more than you” which relates to all of the boys, because at the beginning of the book they’re just a bunch of fancy british boys,then at the end of the book they are all savage and bloodthirsty.
