Fourth Of July Research Paper

The Fourth of July was one of her favorite holidays. It perfectly embodied the spirit of California summer. This particular summer was extra special, she had just turned 17 and had the most amazing to spend it with. Their group leader was paige, she was a volleyball star, and threw the best parties. Mia, was the sweetest of the group, everyone loved her, and she was naturally good at whatever she did. Katie was the most outgoing by far, she had lived here her whole life, and connections to EVERYONE. She was the talk of the school, but she didn't let it get to her head and stayed down to earth. Our main character Gaby loved these girls with all her heart and they had all vowed to make this summer the best yet. They had huge plans for the fourth of July which of course included fireworks. It all started with an epic beach volleyball game, followed by and amazing barbeque put on by paige of course! As soon as the bonfire started and the word had gotten out the beach was flooded with grade 11 and 12’s for both Brooks and Parkway Prep. A few grade tens and people from out of town showed up too. Around 10;30 everyone quieted and found a spot on the grass, the fireworks had started. The grass was dewy, and her jean shorts were damp, but Gabby and the girls sat in absolute bliss. In that exact moment it felt like nothing could go wrong. With the first boom of the fireworks she was brought back to summer 6 years ago when they all first met.
