Good Afternoon, It’s a great honor to attend this Fourth of July celebration in which you have allowed me to speak to the community on this beautiful day. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to reflect on the reason we celebrate Independence Day. This day is one of America’s holidays that is celebrated every year in the United States as a Federal holiday.

The economy is affected by unemployment; if we bring jobs back into our community we can help rebuild our communities.
The black community spends more money than most social-economic communities. We leave our neighborhoods to spend money in other communities; we need to rethink what we would like our community to represent.
We have many challenges that we deal with on a daily basis. I believe education is one of those challenges. Education shall be critical to us. Education is the process of learning and acquisition of knowledge, skills, and values. The community must work together to bring schools back to our neighborhoods. If we want to give our children every opportunity in this country, then we must work harder toward getting a high-quality education for them.
We must attend all meeting regarding our kids whether it’s in the schools, or outside of the schools, we are their voices. We need to fight for them so they would be able to have higher-quality education, good teachers, adequate resources and diverse
