Fourth grade was the best year ever. New friends, teacher, and a whole new floor. Everything happened in fourth grade.

Talk about an eventful year, 4th grade was the most eventful year I ever had. A lot of stuff happened like learning new friends, and a nice teacher. First, in 4th grade I mad a lot of new friendships by talking to people and being nice. Second, 4th grade was a fun year, but we had to learn so we could've passed. Third, I had the nicist and hard working teacher.

I will never forget all the memoriese I made in 4th grade Like the time we accidently mad the teacher cry, because we all failed a test. Or the times the teacher got distracted and told us stories.

Oh, all the good memorise in 4th grade. Hopefull this year

I became literate at a very young age around one or two years old and people could understand what I wanted. For example, bolitas (meant balls in Spanish) cooked beans and no bolitas was refried beans. I had a way of commutating with my family but sometimes I would forget what the word was and I used to describe the item itself. They would eventually understand what I mean. Unlike one of the cases in Deborah Brandt’s Sponsors of Literacy, I did not have a tutor or anything like that.…

I’ve been in school for about 11 years, every year is different, but yet the same. Because we are at the same school for years, it’s the same people, same school, and same everyday routine. Some years are better than others, but the overall best year that I’ve experienced is or was, 8th grade. The fun field trips to places, High School acceptance, and it’s the last year of middle school.…

Tycianna Caldwell Reynolds ENGL 1010-01N 8 Oct. 2015 Taken for Granted: America We as individuals are very quick to look only at the bad sides of situations. We are sometimes only able to see the things that we do not have and overlook the things that we do. We take for granted things like freedom, equality, and being able to gain an education. Many forget that these things are not guaranteed to others that live in different places. I realized how fortunate I am to live in America when I met someone from another country.…
